Combining what people address me as  Riz and Psycle  rooting from a coined term I always answer as a joke every time someone asks what my major is ("psych" which at first is understood as short for Psychology then I'd repeat and crack in the end "Psych...ling," implying that I am majoring in cycling), rizpsycle is a name play at the word 'recycle', which depicts its very concept of saving and resourcefulness.

rizpsycle is a blog focused on my bike life. I started going on long distance rides in 2015, though I took a liking in the sport even before that. My encounter with various routeswhether it's the northern or southern part of the Philippinesproved true that you need not be rich just to be able to travel. I was still a student when I got seriously hooked that I would even dream of biking in my sleep! Thus, I didn't have a lot to spare outside school-related expenses. Even so, my extreme want to just bike didn't find having little to no money an issue. I was able to reach places 100+ kilometers away from home with only 150-200 pesos, which are mainly used on food and refreshments. So, now, I'm owning itTraveling on a budget with legs as my gears! I'm dedicating my life to exploring my wonderful motherland, carrying the same approach even if there will come a time when my budget would not be as tight as it once was (it depends on the season). I'm a naturally thrifty person anyway, so it doesn't matter whether I have 100 or 1000 pesos, I will travel with as little or as much as I can! Constantly discovering which places in the Philippines are worth the dedicated pedaling for, I will do my best to document rides accordingly and also feature other activities that may or may not be directly related to cycling but will still resemble the vision of this brainchild.
